The best way to protect the
welfare of your pigs is to ensure that they are healthy and
happy. A farm health plan can provide you with the tools and
information to help you protect your pigs against disease.
Defra is working with industry to support a series of
regional workshops for small scale pig producers. These
workshops will provide you with a basic farm health plan
that is designed to keep your pigs healthy and protect them
against major diseases
You
will be able to use the plan you have developed to discuss farm
health planning with your local vet
