![]() Countryside Live at the Yorkshire showground in Harrogate on 25th and 26th October will host a display of live pigs for the first time this year. The local organising committee of Peter Brier (01943 862189) e-mail - peter.brier@talktalk.net and Patricia Horsley (01904 744353) are looking forward to really good show . There will be a heat for the National Pedigree Sausage Competition. Entry forms will be available from the BPA website and office. There will also be a Pedigree Pork stand so if you would like to promote your pork or farm shop contact Peter or Patricia to arrange to use the stand. ![]() The BBC Good Food Show in Scotland will be held at the SECC in Glasgow from 31st October to 2nd November. After the success of our stand and sausage competition last year we have teamed up with Slow Food to host a Pedigree Pork stand this year. ![]() The East of England Show is famous for its local food policy and supporting local producers. This year Guy Kiddy will be
helping to organise a Pedigree Pork stand at the Christmas Festival.
If you are a Pedigree Pork producer in East Anglia don’t miss out on
this opportunity to take part in this major event and promote your
pork. Cooking facilities for tasting and a refrigerated display will
be provided. There will also be a heat of the Pedigree Sausage
Competition. If you can’t attend in person why not send us some of

![]() The BBC Good Food Show will be held at Olympia in West London on 14th to 16th November. This year the BPA will be part of the Slow Food Pavilion. As well as our Pedigree Sausage Competition there will be a stand where BPA members can promote their pork. This is an ideal opportunity to exhibit as part of the Pedigree Pork stand at a fraction of the cost of taking your own space. ![]() The English Winter Fair will be held at the Staffordshire Showground on 15th and 16th November. This event is one of the few that has classes for live pigs as well as a carcass competition. For more details please contact John Herbert (01889 500269) There is a sausage competition run by the organisers which BPA members can enter with their pedigree sausages. Pedigree entries will be judged alongside the commercial entries in the main competition. Pedigree Pork Quality Certificates will also be awarded. The Pedigree champions and reserves will be eligible for the Final of the BPA competition at Smithfield. Entry forms and schedules are available from the BPA website or the show website. ![]() The Welsh Winter Fair takes place at Builth Wells on 1st and 2nd December. The Wales and Border Counties Pig Breeders Association always have a strong presence at this traditional Winter Fair and you are sure of warm welcome and a cup of tea at their stand. There are classes for live pigs at this show as well as two days of Sausage Competitions. The Pedigree Sausages are judged on the second day. ![]() The Royal Smithfield Christmas Fair will be held at the Bath and West Showground at Shepton Mallet in Somerset on 5th and 6th December. Smithfield is synonymous with
Winter Shows and Carcass Competitions. As well as the final heat of
the Pedigree Sausage Competition the show will be host to the Final
